Location: Bali
Contract period: Fulltime, 1 year with potential for extension
OUR COMPANY
Founded in 2017, Lestari Capital is a start-up environmental enterprise, built to protect the world’s
natural assets through a commercially viable business model. We accomplish this by mobilizing new
finance for initiatives that protect and rehabilitate important natural landscapes around the world. The
Indonesian word "Lestari" means sustainable, or everlasting, signifying our commitment to developing
long-term sources of finance for high quality conservation and restoration initiatives.
Lestari Capital’s impact model addresses a critical need for long-term operating capital for Projects run by
local communities, conservation non-profits and environmental services companies. Lestari Capital aims
to strengthen Southeast Asia’s emerging ecosystem services marketplace, by connecting demand for on-
the-ground conservation efforts among commodity producers/buyers with Projects that are protecting or
restoring forests where these companies operate, to protect at-risk areas. Lestari Capital is supported by
a diverse group of public-private partnerships and brings actors from the commodities and finance
sectors together with conservation initiatives and funders.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for someone who wants a purpose driven role. This newly created position will be part
of a multi-disciplinary team that is creating solutions in the increasingly critical sustainability space. The
ideal candidate would be passionate about applying their energy and skills to work that is seeking to
make a difference to our environment. We need someone with energy and enthusiasm,
resourcefulness and adaptability; someone who can understand the macro perspective and then work
at the micro level being organized, disciplined and detail oriented to achieve the goals.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES *
General Corporate and Compliance Matters
1. Ensure compliance of PT Lestari Capital Indonesia – both regulatory and corporate governance
2. Contact drafting and review – NDAs, HR, supplier and service agreements, and creation of
templates
3. Coordination of contract signing and other formalities
4. Legal documents filing and administration
5. Contractual compliance – monitor the company’s compliance requirements in relation
to contractual obligations (ESG and other obligations)
Projects and Transactions
1. Support the legal due diligence of projects and project operators, working with the
appointed external law firm
2. Assist with preparation and compilation of supporting documentation (such as CP documents)
3. Transaction specific regulatory research (e.g. research on land concessions)
4. Translation work (if required)
Regulatory Research
1. Keep updated on Indonesian regulations and government policy around carbon, licensing,
land tenure and other topics relevant to the Company’s business
2. Prepare internal legal memo, prepare presentations and ensure understanding within the team.

REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Law or Bachelor's degree
- 3 years + experience as lawyer
- High proficiency in MS Office/ Word/ Power point
- Experience with documentation software and filing systems and workflow process tools
- Accustomed to working in cross-functional teams
- High professional ethics, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
- Excellent Bahasa Indonesia and English communication skills - written and verbal
