World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. The company is seeking to bolster its staff with qualified talent in Turkey.
This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time (March - November hours will be 4:00pm-1:00am; November - March hours will be 5:00pm-2:00am Istanbul time), Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements. About the Job:
The Data Manager will build and implement the data governance program, including data identification, classification, and coordination with various stakeholders to maintain data integrity. The individual should possess a deep knowledge of the current data technologies with proficient knowledge of Data Warehouse and Data Lake strategies. This leadership role is responsible for understanding data needs and uses across the organization around key data domains and driving the definition and prioritization of data improvement initiatives. This role reports to the Director of IT.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
- The ultimate objective is to build data as an enterprise asset helping to drive best-in-class data management activities, client satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational productivity.
- This leadership role is responsible for understanding data needs and uses across the enterprise around key data domains and driving the definition and prioritization of data improvement initiatives.
- The individual will build and implement the data governance program, which includes the data certification process, quality monitoring, coordination with various stakeholders to maintain data integrity, and communication with executives.
- Provide recommendations for data compliance laws and US federal and state policies.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- YOU MUST LIVE IN TURKEY.
- Master’s degree in data systems management or related discipline with a minimum of 3 or more years of work experience in a business development environment.
- Proficient in process design, process management, and writing technical procedures and other informational materials.
- Proficient with Relational databases SQL and ETL, including the ability to query and extract datasets.
- Expertise with data reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Expertise in data architecture, including data storage and data management, big data architecture, and cloud (Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas, Couchbase).
Able to handle multiple/competing priorities
