The British School of Amsterdam is an independent, co-educational, non-profit day school providing world-class learning for children from 3 to 18 years. The School currently has over 1,100 pupils, in three school sections: Early Years School (ages 3-6 years), Junior School (6-11 years), and Senior School (11-18 years). As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department's day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departures.
- Maintaining accurate personnel records, updating employee information, contracts, and other HR-related documents.
- Assisting with payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Collaborating with the HR team to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and school policies.
- Providing general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in an HR administrative role or similar capacity.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Dutch
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Google.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- MBO+/HBO
