Job Description
- will work closely with professional bakers and pastry chefs to assist in the production of cakes and other baked goods.

Responsibilities:
Ingredient Preparation: Assist in measuring, weighing, and preparing ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
Mixing and Batter Preparation: Help in mixing and preparing cake batters, frostings, and fillings using various tools and equipment.
Baking: Assist with the baking process, including preparing pans, monitoring oven temperatures, and ensuring proper baking times.
Decoration and Finishing: Participate in cake decoration and finishing tasks, such as icing, piping, and applying toppings or decorations as instructed.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring ingredient inventory levels and reporting shortages to the supervisor to ensure adequate supplies are available.
Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in work areas, including equipment, utensils, and surfaces, following health and safety regulations.
Quality Control: Assist in inspecting finished products for quality, appearance, and adherence to specifications.
Organization and Time Management: Prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently to meet production deadlines and customer demands.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including bakers, pastry chefs, and other assistants, to ensure smooth workflow and achieve production targets.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements:
Experience: Prior experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not required. On-the-job training may be provided.
Basic Knowledge of Baking: Familiarity with baking techniques, ingredients, and tools used in cake production is beneficial.
Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in measuring ingredients accurately, following recipes precisely, and maintaining quality standards.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the bakery industry.
Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with basic food safety principles and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Creativity: A passion for baking and a willingness to learn and contribute to cake decoration and presentation.
