Basic Functions
Performs aviation logistical supply support functions for the Battalion (BN) Petroleum, Oil & Lubricants (POL) room. Manages, maintains and projects future Class III requirements by ensuring that inventories are completed, on time and in accordance. Will ensure thru projection analysis that the Tech Supply maintains the appropriate amount of prescribe load list POL in support of daily flight line operation. Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility; utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Duties/responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily operation of the tech POL room in support of daily flight line operations.

  • Ensure that POL items are projected and ordered to maintain the correct amount for daily use.

  • Perform inventory cycle counts; research missing parts and report any discrepancies.

  • Prepare and maintain required forms, records, correspondence, reports, and files; ensure proper documentation for accuracy.

  • Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility; utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material.

  • Independence: Perform within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods Retains the authority to select and Implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: By the first line supervisor or higher.



Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Level:

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Advanced degree or equivalent.

  • Training Certifications:

  • Required: Must have graduated from a US Army Logistical Supply Specialist or military equivalent.

  • Preferred: Must have graduated from a US aviation logistical supply support functions.

  • Experience:

  • Required: four years as an Army Logistical Supply Specialist or military equivalent.

  • Required: two years’ experience as an aviation logistical supply support functions.

  • Specific knowledge, skills, ability:

  • Successfully completed, and be qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government armed forces logistical supply course or civilian equivalent training with 4 years’ experience.

  • Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms (ULLS-A (E) or similar aviation maintenance management system), and other aircraft related documentation.

  • Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
